Making Progress
It’s been a little while since our last post so we decided to share a few more updates concerning the evolution of our big event.
November was all about FOOD! We started with dessert first and choose our cake at the Torrance bakery per the Portifino’s recommendation. This was not a difficult appointment to keep- sampling six different cakes all at once for free certainly was sweet! We decided upon a simple design of three circular layers in classic white which we’ll spruce up a bit with our own accents and the help of our florist. Inside is three flavors, banana on top for us to take home and two other for our guests which will remain a surprise (hint: one is a hue of orange and the other a perfect combo of black and white).
Then we were treated to a night of food and drink hosted by the Portifino at their quarterly food tasting for all the couples getting married in the upcoming months. We eyed and tried all kinds of appetizers, entrees and cocktails that were lavishly displayed in the very same ballrooms where our ceremony and reception will take place. The atmosphere was amazing and the food delicious. We assure you that the gourmet appetizers, entrees and of course the drinks, won’t disappoint. No red meat though, chicken, fish and vegetarian will be the choices, so don’t say you were not warned when you ask- where’s the beef?!
In December the bridesmaid’s dresses were selected at a great company called Aria dresses in Pasadena. A longer length and an interesting hue of eucalyptus was the choice all with the help of the staff and the maid of honor who attended the appointment.
Coming soon- we’ll profile our officiant and introduce you to our wonderful wedding party….Til then, happy Holidays!
